How long does reflux last? I don`t mind all the spit up as long as my LO doesn`t feel bad but we go through 5 or 6 outfits a day and several bibs. Is the end in sight?

One night she woke up choking and I swore she had apnea or something. I took her to the dr and they gave her Zantac.. What a blessing. The only bad thing was they mislabeled the bottle and she was getting 14x the normal dose!! But with her heartburn gone she was an awsome baby.. I stopped using zantac at about 6 months.. she was fine afteer that.

mylittleman - 1120 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My son had reflux pretty bad. He never projectile vomited but couldn't lay flat, screamed while eating, etc. I pumped breastmilk so I never had to switch around formulas but we did get him zantac and put rice cereal in his bottles. He was a new baby! He is 13 months now and we just stopped giving the zantac and his reflux is gone.

antsmom - 1120 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My son had reflux pretty bad. None of the different formulas worked. Adding cereal to his bottles just made the spit up chunkier. He would projectile spit up after every feeding 'till almost 9 months. He was on baby Zantac and prevacid. They just kept him comfortable (the acid coming up over and over again will cause the baby pain unless it's neutralized by an antacid) but they did not stop the spitting up. Hang in there!

dawnispregz - 1120 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) go to the docs and get some baby gaviscon, it makes the formula thicker so it doesnt come up as much. try rubbing his back rather than patting my lil boy burped mopre rather than spit up when i changed to rubbing. it does get better ! hes nearly 4 months n we hardly get any major spits up

Shannona - 1121 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My LO is 3 months old and we go through about the same amount of outfits. It's really starting to drive me crazy! My first son had it and didn't grow out of it until like 8 months, but of course all kids are different. If you find anything that works message me!

Mama J - 1121 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) try good start.. formula.. I have almost 5 kids and have done day care.. usually that stops it or really slows it down...

mariettap - 1121 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I've been asking a lot of people this same question lately! I've heard quite a range of answers, too. 3 mos, 4 mos, 6 mos, 8 mos... The only thing the all agree on is that babies do grow out of it.

froggy - 1121 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) the docs said my son had acid refluz was on meds untill 3months i took him off meds and no he is fine..
