Okay last month I went to my ob/gyn. I had some inbetween bleeding that I thought was caused by some amoxycillen, but it wasn`t. My ob/gyn had some blood work done and a pap. They came back fine (she didn`t get into any detail about it), but when I told her my periods were irregular and was really spaced out, she ordered me to come back the next week and get an u/s. The u/s showed I had a thick uterine lining (she didn`t say how thick). I didn`t want to be on bc b/c I want to have children, so she put me on Provera. She didn`t really explain how to take it, but gave me 3 months prescription to see if it will regulate me. I guess my question is has anyone had this type of treatment before and how did it go. So far she didn`t say anything about endometriosis, but I have been reading on it.

Mrsrheins - 1118 days ago It's not birth control, but some bc's like Depo-provera are made from it.

luvbeingamom - 1119 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Is provera a brith control? Brith control is often used to regulate a period. It is used for a few months, serves its purpose then a woman goes off of it. I was put on it b/c of irregular periods to try to regulate me. For me it didn't work and i was later diagnoused with PCOS. If you are unsure of your doc's reasons for something, i implore you to call your doc with a list of questions and ask! Good luck!
