how big is a 5 1/2 pound baby

I need to make a tutu for someone that is having twins and they are expecting them to be about 5 or pounds, just wondering if anyone had a baby about this big and knows about how big the waist is?

mariettap - 1578 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you could use a standard baby doll as a model, since they are a bit smaller than a full term baby. Elastic is good, or a long-ish strip of velcro to make it adjustable. sounds like fun :)

apilalas - 1579 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my daughter was 5lbs 9oz at birth and its really depends...on how tall they are..she was about 19in and preemie was still a little big on her. she 8 1/2mo now and just now getting into 6-9mo clothes. so just get a newborn outfit with a waist and make it just a smidge smaller :-) good luck making them and tell your friend i said good luck with the babies!!
