Okay my roomate is 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Today she has been experiancing lots of cramping, diarrhea, increased discharge, and burning pressure. Do you think she could be in early labor? She doesnt know what real contractions feel like. At her last exam she was 1 cm dialated. She has another appointment in about an hour. Thoughts ladies???

Chey83 - 1113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It definetly sounds like she's going into labor.

dawnispregz - 1113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) then im guessing that she is in slow labour. She will know the contractions because they seriously take her breath away, cant talk or walk thru them like braxton hicks.and from the first one time how long inbetween and the intensity of them, when they get to 4/5 mins apart contact the hospital and let the labour ward know you are coming in. If they send her home because its a long time or the contractions slow down help her into a warm bath - no bubbles as it seems shes losing her plug and it protects the baby against infections etc, and get her to eat something. My MIL had to be on feed drip because she didnt eat b4 her labour started and her body shut down as no energy left, so she was on drip for feed and drip for restarting contractions. Even a few biscuits and a cup of tea will help her to keep her energy up. If she wants the baby to come you can take her for a lil walk, maybe just up and down the street if shes so far along as that promotes labour - but no sex as plug is coming away. x

oxoalicia143oxo - 1113 days ago She doesnt have any back pain. She said the discharge is very goopy. I am so hoping this is it. Maybe tonight I will be witnessing his arrival =]

dawnispregz - 1113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i would say that she is in labour - the body does a self cleanse thing b4 birth so that would be the diarrhoea symptoms. and the discharge being more happens in later pregnancy but if its quite gloopy and sometimes pinky/red it sound like her mucus plug...give her my best.not all women have contractions as stupid as that sounds - some just had severe back pain for hours and not actual stomach contractions x

1st-time-mommy-2-b - 1113 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would say yes... I had all the same things and my baby was born that same night of 12-23-08.
