oh period, where are you? Added: 1108 days ago. Added by: mrs mommy Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
Alright, I`m sick of this!
My son is 5 months on jan. 31st, I am breastfeeding him and startin him on solids. (He eats home made baby food once in a while, not everyday or 3x`s a day yet, he`s very attatched to my breast) he only nurses a total of 15 mins and eats every hour or so..
My breast have been sore for a few days and I`ve ben having white thick discharge, so just like I did when I was pregnant, and just like I did when I was pregnant.
My husband and I have had unprotected sex 2ce (no p.o method, we used spermicidal suppositories, which I researched and they`re meant as a birthcontrol WITH the pill, condoms, or whatever... my bad)
Anyway I`ve also been having cramps and slight constipation..
I took like 4 test and they`re all negative..
What`s going on!
I want my period sooo bad.
And I`m not losing weight! I thought when you breastfeed you lose weight? I haven`t lost anything and I excersize and eat right!
I`m depressed, and scared.. Please help
Thank you
Ps I know the only way to figure it out for sure is if I go to the drs we don`t have insurance anymore or $ to do so... so any other ideas?

I didn't get a period untill 9 months after delivering Emily. Then I only had 2 before I got pregnant again.. I am glad I don't have a period. You use more calories making milk, but your body hangs on to baby fat too to make milk. Relax, enjoy the baby they don't stay babies forever..

When I breastfed, I didn't get a period until about 9 months later. Some women even go without a period until they completely stop nursing.

i never lost weight while bf. I had on and off cramping for 8 months (around the time my period should have been) before every getting a period. I exclusively bf for 7 months before introducing solids. I got my first period 13 months PP and my second 15 mo PP. I wouldn't worry. I would however have protected sex if you don't wnat another baby. Just b/c you don't have a period doesn't mean you aren't ovulating. But if the tests have all come out neg and it has been at least 5 weeks since the last time you had unprotected sex, you aren't pregnant and you are prob just having a 'fake' period now. Be thankful you don't have it, they aren't fun. Exp the first few after giving birht!
