sorry to ask this, but has anyones man gone off them since they have been pregnant??? i have noticed a decline in the interst i have been getting from my other half over the last few weeks and with all these hormones going round all over the place im getting a little frustrated!!! its bothering me that much that the other day i had to ask, what was wrong!! he said that its a bit weird because theres a baby in there and he doesnt want to squash it, i explained that he wouldnt!! i of course have become paranoid that my ever changing body is putting him off, i have only put on 6 pounds so im not exactly big all the weight is the baby, so i look normal apart from the bump. i have to start anything if i want anything to happen and its really anoying me.......anyone else have this ( rather personal ) problem????

louisec - 1100 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi Explain to DH that there are lots of recommended positions in pregnancy books that are less awkward e.g from behind "sorry tmi" and that it is important for you to still feel that he still wants you sexually. It's not fair that you have to do the running around. That has happened to me on occasion and told DH how i felt. His reason was nothing to do with the pregnancy, he prefers every other day as it is more intense with a break in between. Is he worried about the pregnancy or work? maybe there are stress related reasons and he may not want to tell you this in case it worries you. Also explain to him that your hormones and the increased blood flow in pregnancy tend to make you want sex more, not less, but everyone is different, i cant get enough, some women just feel too uncomfortable. I never have, but some times feel that i shouldn't, but i blame that on the catholic upbringing!! lol good luck..

mandyd829 - 1101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Same problem here. But its strange hubby isn't worried about baby and he says he is definitely not turned off by me. What he does say is do you realize how much sex it took for us to get to this point? i hear him totally on that. i mean were doing it all the time. its not so much the sex that i miss out on its the closeness. as long as he snuggles me and rubs the baby and tells me he loves me i am okay.

baby-griffin - 1101 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Same problem here! My husband said the same thing, plus I have gained almost 20lbs. So he's not as attracted to me as he used to be. Now I'm at the point where my hormones have calmed a bit down and I don't want it as much as I used to. When I don't want it, it seems like he wants it more LOL. So now the table's turned.

emma32uk - 1101 days ago Thanks ladies for all your messages, i thought it would get you all going, te he!!!! well valentines day is next week and im goind to get something sexy on and he wont be able to resist!!! (fingers crossed!!) glad its not just me!!!

trkrchk - 1102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yeah.. I have the same problem.. but I think its sweet. We try to make up for it in other ways like cuddling more or more hugs. but my hubby is good like that.. I am kinda glad for it because I just am not interested.. I have 3 other kids my youngest is turning 1 on wednesday! I am 3 months pregnant and just exausted.. So the more he doesn't want the better!!

luvbeingamom - 1102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had the exact problem with both my pregnancies. My DH didn't want to touch me when i was pregnant (even before i was showing!). He was terrified of hurting the baby or me despite the facts. I wanted it ALL the time and he had no interest (also thanks to some medication he was on). It was rough for me and i got very friendly with my "toy"! hehe. SOrry TMI i know. But it did good for me at the time. I wish i had something positive to tell you to 'fix' the situation but i don't know. It is a normal reaction from men. Every friend i have that has ever been pregnant either says their SO 1. is completely not interested, either b/c of the possibility of hurting mom/baby or b/c of personal issues. 2. LOVEs the pregnant belly and can't get enough, or 3. nothing changed, he wants it the same as before and the belly makes no difference to them. Sadly, i was part of cag 1 like you!

riknlee - 1102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Mine never felt funny and wanted it just as much. I didn't really feel like it that much and still dont with 4 month baby. I get very tired.

MomOfAlmost3AtHome - 1102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am pregnant with my third child and my husband has felt strange about it with all three. Then back in October I had some spotting after we were intimate, now that really didn't help the whole situation. He is very concerned about hurting me or the baby. He is a little cranky and to make up for what he is cautious about doing, he wants to do other things, if you know what I mean, and to be honest, I am having a hard time because currently I have a more sensitive gag reflex, sorry is TMI, and have a hard time with that. We actually had an issue about it this weekend. I just keep thinking to myself that pregnancy doesn't last forever. I have not good answer or solution other that make the best of it.

last.one.for.me - 1102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hmm, it's the complete opposite for me.. I have COMPLETELY lost my sex drive - I mean it's ZILCH.. the last time we had sex was week 20 - I'm now 34 weeks..

My boyfriend is climbing the walls, literally, at bed time. He even sounded so hopeful - bless him - and asked the other night if we'd be having lots of sex in the last 3 weeks to try and encourage labour... I may just throw him a bone and 'take one for the team' or rather a few - just to make up for it.

I feel shocking to be honest, but I just can't bring myself to do it - The way my tummy rests on his tummy and I can feel and see the baby moving makes it feel 'wrong' - almost like some is 'watching' haha. I know sex is perfectly safe and normal and I KNOW it wont cause any damage - it's just me, personally. It annoys me though when he gets audibly p*ssed off at me though - as if he thinks I'm doing it on purpose when I'm really truly not... I mean it annoys me that he tries it on ALL the time as I HATE having to say no..

I didn't think I'd react like this.. This isnt my first child and I do have a 6 year old son, but my then partner left me, so I didnt have someone trying it on every other day, there wasnt the option of sex to go off in the first place..

emma32uk - 1102 days ago you poor thing spencerbaby1!!! i cant go a day let alone since october!! he doesnt like touching my bump either, saying that he is quite amazed with watching the kicking movements. men are such strange creatures!! saying that after i have given birth i probably wont feel like it, so i guess it maybe the other way round. good luck in the next week or so xxx

spencerbaby1 - 1102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my hubby and i last had sex in october. he feels it is weird cuz he can feel her moving around and it creeps him out. i can understand... but he also said he would still be fine with oral.. well i havent been touched intimately since november in any way shape or form. i am hoping things go back to normal once the baby comes out (i am 39 weeks now). i can't even get him to have sex to try and bring on labour at this point! it sucks... hang in there- its a man thing

dawnispregz - 1102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) loooooads of women ask this type of question, either about theit sexual libido or their parents, dont worry - the questions on here get faaaaar more intimate than sex life !

emma32uk - 1102 days ago its funny really, he would be mortified if he knew i had asked that question on here, but i had to ask!!!

dawnispregz - 1102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) a lot of men feel as though they may hurt you or the baby, this is something that you need to spk to him about, because unless the doc says otherwise theres no need to stop having sex, its totally noimal and very healthy. And my god woman - the hormones are raging and he maybe missing out BIG time!Lol. Explain to him that there isnt any way the baby can feel the penis, and actually the sex motion 'rocks' the baby to sleep ! Hahaha. Get him to have a look at this site or research it for proof.

Its-Chelle - 1102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my husband was squeamish too as i got further along. i had a high sex drive too. its not that he didnt want sex at all but he too felt weird like you mentioned how your man feels. no matter what the doc said, how safe, or what i said, nothing made him feel better. some men just get that way about knowing there is a baby in there. its hard to accept that behavior and i felt rejected. but i understood his point, i believed him, i knew he wasnt losing interest in me or sex, so we just had to find other ways to still be intimate, we still had sex just not that often. eventually late in pregnancy it was difficult for me too..just talk to him and figure out ways you both can enjoy one another so neither of you will feel left out.
