riknlee - 1098 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My daughter had so many kidney infections and bladder infections when she was little that a scan reveled she only has one functioning kidney. She has a glass of cranberry juice per day to keep away the infections and she hasn't had one for years now. She is 14 and provided she doesnt sustain damage to it she should be fine. Also my sister in law, has one kidney as she had to have the other one removed as it was cancerous and she is getting along fine.

They had some difficulties of the start but that was due to an early birth not kidneys. Chances are he will be fine! im not sure if that is the story in every case but hope for success :)

courtenay - 1098 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i dont but when i was pregnant i had SUA and there were possibilities of kidney complications so i know how scary it is. um for me everything worked out fine. i also have a cousin who is a healthy, active, 26 year old and he was born with only one kidney. we actually only need one to do everything taht kidneys do. best of luck i hope everything turns out okay.
