Maternity jeans???? Added: 1085 days ago. Added by: shortielee17 Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
Was anyone else in maternity jeans at 10w3d? I`m scared it`s too soon for me to be wearing them. I`ve only gained a pound so far, but my regular jeans are just too tight.

why are you scared? you are pregnant and going to get bigger. Give into your big, beautiful body and the wonder of elastic waistbands. Its glory!

I'd say it's better to wear the maternity clothes too soon than too late. Not only because too tight clothing tends to look a little ridiculous, but I believe that clothes that cut into your stomach might be harmful for the baby?

I got a belly band too maternity clothes just don't fit quite right until you have a big belly, I wore the belly band until 4 or 5 months with my regular pants

get a bella band. it's an elastic thing like a tube top. you wear it around your waist under shirts but over pant. then you leave your pants unbuttoned and no one knows it.

It just doesn't seem right. I was 168 when I found I was pregnant and I'm only 169 now. So I thought I would be able to wear my regular jeans for a while.

i am almost 10 weeks and my pants are snug...i got rid of my materinty jeans from previous pregnancy's so what i'm doing right now to stay comfy in my jeans is get a small hair tie or rubber band and loop them around the button hole and then around the button, works great for me, i'm sure it will only work for a couple more weeks, b/ it's gettin the job done right now. = )

Ive heard people usually go into them around 12/14 weeks for comforts sake. Around 25 weeks most of my jeans didn't fit, one pair still does though. Other than that I was in maternity jeans around 20/25 weeks.

I got to 13 weeks, but that was a tight squeeze! You can buy 'belly bands' - a lycra band that you wear over your regular jeans, you unzip the fly, because your pants are open, fold them in towards your belly. You wear the belly band over your open pants. I got up to 20 weeks with some of my pants and the belly band! Cost about $20...if you are handy with a sewing machine, they are easy to make!
