I have it. Unforunately, I found out I had it because of infertility (tried 4 years and got no where)! For years I was experencing horrible pains right around the time of my period and through out my period, I just thought it was normal pms...WRONG! It was endometriosis! So after they discovered the endo, I went in and had the surgery to remove the implants. Tried to get pregnant again and still no sucess, so then I did hormone therapy for 7 months (to shrink the implants that were blocking my tubes) and the month after stopping the therapy I became pregnant. =) The endometriosis symptoms completely disappeared during pregnancy and after up until my 2nd pp cycle and now their back - ugh! Good luck and try not to stress over it, just know if it does get in the way there are things that can be done. =)

Thank you for your testimonies. It's good to hear hope from actual people rather than read things on the net about it affecting fertility.

My friend has that.. She and her husband have been married for about 2 years and trying for a beby for about 3 years. They finally had one in sept so its possible. Oh and on a better note, her mother has endometriosis as well, and she has her and her sister. So it will takes time and sometimes not. So good luck and hope all happens for you.

I've had it also, but it seemed to "disappear" after my first 2 children. I'm pregnant with my 5th now and it certainly hasn't affected my ability to have kids lol! I actually ended up in hospital because of it a few times, when I was in my teens. But after my first child, poof it just seemed to all but disappear. It was still a little painful, but after my second. I had no symptoms whatsoever. It did take me about 2 years to concieve my first child, but I don't know if that was due to the endometriosis or not.

both my mom and my friend have endometriosis; my mom has 4 kids; my friend has 2; and they both were told that becoming pregnant actually helps to treat it.
