Okay so I am going to be breastfeeding but since I have to go back to work at 6 weeks, I am gonna have to pump. So I was wondering how you stored your pumped milk?

(fold bag down until al the air is gone on first bag, and twist tie the second) this way you can pop the bag straight into the bottle no mess and risk of contamination. As well the bottle liners are cheaper then milk storage bags even if you are using two at a time. Also you can freeze milk for up to 3 months... so you can always stock pile a little ahead of time as baby may feel a need to feed more for comfort when you are not there. I hope this helps!

I usually had enough from pumping the previous day to have bottles for the next day. Then when I had extra, I would freeze it. I also sent and extra frozen bottle to the sitters to store, in case there was a day when baby was extra hungry. I would freeze them double bagged in regular freezer bags. They are cheaper and work just as well, I would just clip off a corner of the bag to pour it into the bottle. Then I would lay them flat to freeze, that way they defrost and warm up so much quicker for a hungry baby. I also would use the bottles that came with my breast pump, then pour them into the playtex drop in bottles when I got home to be prepared in the morning, so all I had to do was grab baby and the bottles out of the fridge, rather than trying to prepare them in the morning. I hope that helps.

tommiesmommy - 1079 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You can buy special bags that are made for freezing breastmilk. I used medela, but those got to be too expensive so now I use the lansinoh bags. They stay good in the freezer for about 4-6 months and 5-7 days in the fridge.

Owens Mom - 1079 days ago I am using the playtex bottles with the inserts....do I just put the milk in there and than freeze it????and after is froze how do i unfreeze it???

oxoalicia143oxo - 1079 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You should freeze it. It can stay good in the freezer for 1 year I believe. If you put it in the fridge, it is only good for 48 hours.
