When do i need to make up a birth plan and when should i share with my doctor? I am 27 weeks and i feel like i am really far behind. I havent taken any classes yet, and i have gotten my massages yet, and i havent gotten my tour of the maternity ward yet. Shouldnt i have at least done some of this by now?

I just brought it to the hospital with me and gave it to them to share with her. She had no idea that I had one until she went to use a certain drug towards the end of my pregnancy and the nurse told her that I did not want it. So I guess some advice would be to definitely share you birth plan with your dr.

amy2088 - 1079 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I never had a birth plan nor did i ever talk to my doctor about it. I never went to classes or had massages and i didnt even take a tour of the marternity ward. (i worked at the hospital but never actually saw the ward itself) I dont think its really important. but im a pretty calm preson so even during labor and everything i was laughing and telling jokes. Talk to you doctor about this at your next visit? she should have all the information for you!

tommiesmommy - 1079 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You're fine! lol My birth plan was 'whatever gets my baby out safely' I'm not sure what you mean by massages. I took the classes and tour(also not completely needed) when I was 36 weeks.

I still haven't done a bunch of those things and I only have 30 days to go. just pick one thing at a time and focus on it. Your birth plan might be an evolving thing, so start it now knowing that you might change and add to it as you move along and learn more... good luck!
