would you ever send your child to boarding school. i dont think its right, i mean why did you even have kids if you want to send them away??

bebe77 - 1077 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My roommate and many of the girls in my college went to boarding school in New Jersey b/c the public schools stank. If you think it's "mean" I doubt you're grasping the "why" of it. There are many good reasons for it - my sister's best friend was sent to boarding school just a half hour away b/c her reputation - and her life - was going down the drain at our local high school, getting involved with an abusive guy, etc. Linden School for Girls helped get her back on track and by the time she left, she loved it.

They are very expensive but have a far superior level of education provided to children. If I could afford any olevel of private education for my child I'd do it - even if it was a boarding school and it would not be anybody elses place or right to doubt the love I had for my child. I think it's something LOVING parents also do - paying financially for a better quality education, thus ensuring their future.

JuliMomOf4 - 1078 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I may have to send my child to a special boarding school that's capable of dealing with his severe speech delay and autism. Unfortunately the local school is full for the next 5 years and he starts next year. Unless a place opens up or my older kid's school changes it's mind about taking him, I don't have a choice. Which really sucks. I joke about boarding school being a good idea with my girlfriends, but, I could never do it. I hate the idea of it. But if I have to do it to give my son the best possible education and support for his conditions. Then I will, his future is more important than my feelings.

luvbeingamom - 1078 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have to say no now that i would never send my kids to a sleep away boarding school. however, i can understand why some do. Some don't have other options, sometimes it is best for the child (exp if they are getting in a lot of trouble), etc. If it was the best thing for my child i would certainly have to consider it even if it broke my heart to have them so far away from me.

kates1st - 1078 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I will, only because the school in my town is a bad school, and if my child doesn't want to be on a bus for 4 or so hours a day, boarding school is the only option. My partner went to boarding school and he said he had the best time!!!
