Never, too much risk of contracting something and passing it on to the innocdent babe. You could get one to celebrate weaning later!

Wouldnt do it while nursing! The Just incase reason! U never can be 100000% sure nothing will happen x

Hmm, I personally wouldn't risk it, if the tattoo becomes infected or risk of transmission of things such as HIV. Of course I presume you'd be going somewhere reputable, BUT, there's still always that chance. It's the same as getting a tattoo or piercing during pregnancy, while the risks might be slightly minimised because of breastfeeding, they are most definitely still there. I would wait.. tattoos are for life (which I'm sure you know) so you'll have PLENTY of time to enjoy your new addition to your body after you've finished nursing th enew addition to your family :] x
