Any good advice on potty training. My daughter is almost 2 and half and she used to go on potty sometimes. Now she just doesn`t want to. We ask and she always says no. I really wanted to get her out of diapers before the baby comes (end of June). What worked for you???

It can be a little wet but if it is soaked, forget about it. She said that when the diaper is nearly dry then the child can hold his/her own bladder and is ready to potty train. In the meantime you have to wait.

EmmaReed84 - 1071 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My advice wait. I was in the same boat. Kids tend to regress when there are new arrivals and can start wetting themselves again. I waited and and it only took 2 weeks to get my son fully dry after baby.

When i knew my daughter was really ready i left her at home without diaper. for a week i had to clean after her couple times but than she just started going by herself .I never uses potty she was going straight on the toilet with the kids seat cause she thought the potty chair was a toy.i was like you trying to get her ready before my son was born in november. just be patient when she has an accident tell her its ok u can do it the next time. I never asked her cause she always said no but just put her on the toilet every hour or so till she got use to it. She was trained in maybe ten days during a day and in the night i let her in the pull ups after while and than she started to wake up to pee by herself and it was done. Good luck.

mamatobeagain210 - 1071 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am in the same boat your in. My daughter will be 3 in May and I am due in July with my son. I am too potty training her and I put her straight in to underwear only during the day though. And at night still in pull ups. She is doing pretty good with it. She has maybe 1-2 accidents a day. She loves suckers so everytime she goes we give her a sucker. In the last few days though she doesn't expect a prize everytime. Thank God. We also have to clap and usually end up calling daddy at work or grandmas so she can tell them. So good luck potty training. Stay patient and don't give up.
