Okay gilrs so i have a question...I was at 2cm in wednesday night...and 2.5cm on friday morning...my next appointment is thursday and they will check again...how far do you think i will be than and how far do i need to be for them to keep me in the hospital? I am just a little curious. My cousin was at 4cm when she went to be induce and didn`t even know it.

Bangel - 1057 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was dilated none at last doctors appointment then labor hit 4 days later. And I ended up being admitted at only 2cm dilated because of constant very painful contractions. You never know!

tommiesmommy - 1058 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hard to say. I was 1cm dilated for weeks until I finally went into labor. My friend was 4cm dilated from 37 weeks until she had to be induced at 41.5 weeks.

phoenixsmommy - 1058 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it's really hard to know. i was 1cm at 36 weeks, 1.5cm at 37 weeks. when i went in to be induced at 40weeks 1 day, i was still 1.5cm.

steffilily - 1058 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) There is really no way of knowing how much you will dilate in a certain period of time. It varies for every pregnant women. I have heard stories about how some women were excited because they were dialted 4 cm at 36 weeks or so. But they did not go into labor till after 40 weeks and was still 4 cm then. Some women would be at 0 cm at a checkup, but by the end of the day they go into labor and be 3 cm dilated when they go to the hospital.
