Very Late and Breastfeeding

Ok I have taken 3 hpt in the last 2 weeks all neg. Im 8 days late. January I was 6 days late, February was a normal period and still waiting for this period to show up for march even though we are in April now. I plan on testing again in a couple of days, my DD is 8 months old and I still breastfeed. I have been have periods for the last 5 months. Could I be prego and just have low hcg levels or am I going to miss a period all together for breastfeeding even I have had periods for the last 5 months? Any advice would be great!

You may just have low HCG for now, could also be your test (Three of mine were neg before I took a positive, then ran to the dr.'s for a blood test). You could call your doc and haver her/him just call in an order to the lab for you... they can detect super low, but elevated HCGs. But my guess is this: your daughter went through a bit of a growth spurt, was nursing a little more than normal, threw off your estrogen/progesterone and you'll either skip this one or go a half-skip (6 weeks between). BUT, the big question is::: did you do the baby dance 3 weeks ago w/o protection???

barunka05 - 1045 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My son is only 4.5 mo. and i still didn't get my period due to bf. My doc told me that while u bf your body is just not acting normal until you stop. So you just might be irregular.
