I would like to know what my odds are with complete placenta previa. What was your outcome?

Thank you for such encouraging replies. I really do hope it moves. Its not the c-section i'm really afraid of, its the bed rest. I'm not one to sit around, lol.

My SIL had it, and in week 32 they did an ultrasound to see when they would need to schedule the c-sec, and they were shocked to see that it had moved. The nurses said they absolutely did not think hers would move, but it did. She gave birth vaginally to a healthy 10 1/2 lb girl!! So don't give up hope ;-)

I would not get discouraged, you have a good chance for it to move. I have heard many great stories of it moving. The worst that can really happen is having a c-section, which I know I am scared to death of but it is only for your safety and your baby.

I had the same thing and it moved on it's own. They say 90% of the time it will move.

I was diagnosed with a "low-lying placenta" at my 19 week ultrasound. My doctor said there's a 90% chance that it will move out of the way by week 32-24. I just had another U/S in week 31 and its still low but not blocking my cervix. I'm hoping that in the next 8 weeks it might move out of the way some more as the baby takes up more of the room. What did your doctor say?

I hear the odds are good. I have it right now and I am hoping for good news on Thursday when I go for my ultrasound to find out if the placenta moved or not.
