mummychell - 346 days ago she was a premie baby she weighed 4lb 12oz she was on the 50th centile on the chart but has gradually dropped to the 4th centile she eats as much as she will take normally a dinner and a pudding and has her bottles in between

3girls2008 - 346 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my daughter is 10 mo old and only weighs we think about 16 lbs. she is a very slow gainer but my doc said that as long as she is gaining on a consistent level then we shouldnt worry. she's just gonna be teeny! i know its easier said than done (everyone is telling me and i have a hard time accepting it lol) but shes ok!

jmschlotter - 346 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If you have any worries ask her doctor about it they're some blood tests they can do but probably won't want to do until later on. Tell them to check for a growth hormone abnormailty, they can check through a blood test. Was your baby small at birth? A premie? Or is her size something that runs in the family, I wouldn't worry too much...she's a girl most are tiny.

mom o 4 girls! - 346 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) just read your profile and see that you daughter was premature so I am sure that is why she is still small, and she has more than doubled her birth weight. Lol! So I would say she is right on track, and the doctors will tell you if they are concerned.

happyforest - 347 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) is your doctor worried?? i think that sounds really small, my baby was that big at 8 weeks, but he was 9 lb 5 oz when born...

mylittleman - 347 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) They all gain weight differently! My son is 15 months right now and STILL has not hit 20 lbs!! At his last checkup he was only 17 lbs. We go in a week again and I hope he's finally hit 20 so I can move him into his car seat~!

xolblondieox - 347 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As long as she is steadily gaining and not losing I don't see the big deal. She is quite a little peanut but that's ok we all have different body types. I know she is on solids but how much? How many ounces of milk per day? Do you think she would eat more or do you offer and she just stops? Also, as long as she is still meeting developmental milestones- rolling over, holding head and neck up, grabbing things, passing objects from hand to hand, sitting up...ect.

preggyvegan17 - 347 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If the dr isn't worried, you shouldn't be. People are always going to tell you your kid is too something. Trust your instinct (and the doc! lol)

steffilily - 347 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If I remember correctly, babies are supposed to be double their birth weight by 4 to 6 months.

jq baby - 347 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Girl-- babies and your body grow at the pace that the angels want them to-- Some say the babies are to big babies come how they are suppose to come. No matter the medical technology
