Im just little worried. I am 17wks pg and ive had 2 u/s and i havent heard the heartbeat yet. They have seen it but havent heard it. I see every1 else talkin bout hearing the heartbeat im jelous . :-( should i b worried. Or is this normal this is my third child?

diane-taketwo - 1042 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) With u/s the tech actually needs to turn on the sound to hear the heart beat. Because it's so routine for them, they might not have thought to turn it on for you to hear. If you didn't ask to hear it - they likely did not offer. Does your ob/gyn have a doppler? The next time you see them, just ask to hear baby's heart - it might be routine to them - but precious memories for you!

dutch-mommy - 1043 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) 17 weeks and still no heartbeat? well first; they have seen it,so probably nothing's wrong. It also could be that you're baby is far away too deep for hearing the heartbeat.

Elmo - 1043 days ago Yeah u could say im a little heavy. i havent been pg in 8yrs so its like starting all over. I feel the baby move all the time.

trkrchk - 1043 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Are you um.. a little heavy? I am, I never lost the baby weight from the 3rd baby 13 months ago and I am 5 months pregnant now. We FINALLY heard a heartbeat at 19 weeks. He said it was a combo of having "maternal tissue" and a baby planted on the far side of the uterus. Dont worry.. I am sure its okay:)
