I'm sorry...I don't mean to br rude, but this is just a dumb question! Of course you shouldn't smoke! It's bad for you, and it's certainly bad for baby. My mom smoked throughout her whole pregnancy with me, and I was fine luckily. But there are so many babies of smokers who are born with health problems. I know that it's hard to quit, I am not a smoker but many people in my family are and have tried to quit several times. Please give it a try if you haven't or aren't in the process of doing so now. I'm not putting you down, but you should know it's bad!

Absolutely not. Every time u take a hit off ur cig its like puttin a pillow over ur babies face. Yea they live most tha time but with life alltering consequences. Also there always is tha chance your baby will die from s.i.d.s or be still born and its bad for u as well but plz do tha research and dont smoke.

NO. It is HORRIBLE for your child, it can cause all kinds of problems, your child may be born looking healthy but down the line there are cognitive disabilities, learning problems and also behavior issues!!!!!!

don't do it! I mean you can- but whoa, risky. I was a smoker but, before I even knew I was prego they were grossing me out. The moment I found out I have not smoked a single cig. Yuck, the smell and everything really really gets to me now. My hubby still smokes and I can't even be around him after he smokes- cuz he stinks. Ew, and his breath. Overall, I think it's a pretty selfish act. I asked my doctor about quitting immediately and the "stress" or whatever b/c I have heard smoking pregnant women say that's why they don't stop. My doctor said that's absolutely false- and just an excuse.
It's only nine months- chew gum instead.

It isn't healthy for the child. My Sis did, her baby was early, and small (5lbs), and had breathing problems at 2 months old and had to go into the hospital. Some people smoke and their child has no problems, but is it worth the risk? I've read that smoking increases the chance of SIDS.

i quit smoking when i found out i was pregnant. u think its going to be reallyyyyy hard, but for me it honestly wasnt. i havent had a cigg since the day i took the pregnancy test and im happy i havent. even if ur baby is big and seems to be healthy, it could end up with major problems down the road that u didnt even know about at birth. so i would deff say if u can, dont smoke.
