can any mom, who had gestational diabetes, share her experience with newly born baby?

this is my first time and i have gestational diabetes.i want to know what are chances of diabetes effecting babies physical health?

munchkinsmommie - 1034 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had GD with both of my pregnancies. Both of my children are completely healthy no issues from my GD. First time with GD controlled by diet and second time with diet and insulin. I am here if you have any questions and need anything.

Austin::and::Alexs::Momma - 1034 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) as long as you keep your numbers under control, your baby should be just fine. S/he maybe be born with low blood sugars, but usually a bottle of sugar water will bring them to where they need to be.

Jenny309 - 1034 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My baby is going to be 4 weeks tomorrow and is perfect, I was induced 5 days early and she weighed 6 lbs5oz and was healthy. I was also on insulin 3 times a day... I think the risks are low because the monitor u so closely. :)

LGK616 - 1034 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My little girl has no effects from GD when I was pregnant. As I told you on your other post - it's manageable. I was induced however 1 week early because the only thing that my doctor worried about was she would get too big. She was born a healty 7 1/2 pounds however and completely healthy. xox

sugerand spice - 1035 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi, I had gestational diabetes with my daughter and she was perfect nothing wrong with her at all,All I had to do was watch my diet and my blood sugar levels and stay on the diet they put you on and you do all they say he/or she should be fine!!!!
