Yes, very normal. I was the same way. Some days I didn't have anything or it was light then would go heavy again. I didn't stop bleeding until 7 weeks. I was told if the blood clots are bigger then a dollar coin to call the Dr.

I bled for two weeks pp, and at 4 weeks pp, I started getting my period again, I got my period for three whole months one week on one week off, I was like OMG !! thought I was bleeding to death and I was breastfeeding, doc just said it's normal, so don't worry relax, just have your 6 week checkup ask your doc about it

I've had 4 kids and my first I bled for 6 weeks and it was up and down like a roller coaster. My second I bled for about 1 week but it was heavy as hell. My 3rd and 4th it was 4 weeks and up and down. It drove me nuts. I'm begging them to just take my uterus this time as I don't want more kids, don't want periods and do NOT need the hassle of the pp bleeding lol! They won't take it though. :(

when the bleeding starts to slow and then picks up again it means you are doing to much/exerting yourself to much, try and slow down a bit
