So I`ve noticed over the past couple of days everytime my LO eats he gets hiccups immediately after. What can I do to stop this or is it just something that happens?

tommiesmommy - 1028 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hiccups are a neurological phenomenon. Even medical professions have no real idea why they happen they just know it come from the brain, not the tummy or the esophogus.

Maybe try feeding a little before he's hungry, if you can anticipate it? Are you BFing? If so, maybe your let-down is intense and he's chugging to keep up? You could try pumping for a min. before latching to see if that helps. But, like 90% of stuff with these kiddos, my guess is he'll grow out of it in the blink of an eye!

If it deesnt bother your little one i wouldnt worry about it too much. My son grow out of it around 4 months. Now he rarely gets them.
