What do Contractions feel like??

Thias is my first pregnancy and i was just wondering what do contractions feel like??? Like how do you know you are having any?? I have had pains but i don`t think that was contractions....What do they feel like??? =]]

steffilily - 1025 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) During the last week before I had my son, I kept wondering if every gas pain/cramps/whatever I was experencing was the contraction. It was not until my very first contraction that I went "ooh! that felt different!" and knew that was it. It started out low in my belly and felt like a cramp, then I got a tighening. Was not as painful as I expected. I did have to breath though it, but it was bearable. It's later on when it becomes very unbearable.
