I have a 5 month old baby girl but when I put colors on her besides pink people get her mistaking for a boy. Do u get offended when people mistake your female child for a boy. She has her ear pierce I just think sometimes people try to be funny it don`t bother me becuz its childish but I just wanted to know how others feel about the situation its getting on my nerves .

Nah...doesn't really offend me too much. People are clueless! I was at the doctors office the other day and some guy thought my daughter was a boy and was calling her "buddy". I guess he missed the pink shoes + lovey. It doesn't bother me though, I usually just say nothing or tell them her name is they ask, then they apoligize...no biggie!

i didn't at first however, my daughter (she was right @ 5 months) had a pink dress on @@ has her ears pierced and the lady @ yankee candle said "OHHHH ITS SO CUTE!" I said yes, SHEE is beautifuL!, i got asked a lot if she was a boy b/c she had no hair.

I don't get offended. I do get surprised, b/c this baby has so much pink on her all the time, lol. If they ask me about my "boy" I answer their question, and if it's someone I'll be seeing more of, then I say, "Her name is Nora." I don't bother if it's a stranger. If they get embarrassed or apologize for their mistake, I say, "Oh that's alright. Boys and girls look the same at this age!" They do.

i did for the first week or two and then i let it go, it bothers me when she is clearly dressed as a girl (think pink dresses, hats etc) and once she was even in her pink stroller dressed like that and some people asked how old HE was LOL. but anyways, most of the time since its obviously someone i dont know, when they ask how old he is i just say 6 and a half months or answer theyre question i dont even bother to correct them anymore since i am usually in a rush anyways.
