I have an ultrasound scheduled for 12 weeks and 5 days. Is it possible to find out your baby`s gender that early??

rorylex2008 - 1012 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) u can tell the sex at 12wks in some cases but baby has to be in a very good position for that to happen and though things are not fully formed yet there is ways to look at it with out the need to be, my son was very much a boy at the 12wks scan there is a pic in my profie photos, and my best friend got a really good shot at her 12wk scan and i was able to tell her baby was a girl from that pic and i was right ist got nothing to do with 3 lines at 12wks. I love scans so have become really good at noticing things alot wouldnt, the lady at my 18wk u/s couldnt tell babies sex but i thought it was plain as day he was a boy and he is deffenitly a boy

HaleyD - 1013 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes they can see the gender. They usually don't confirm it that early on, but they can tell. :-) My brother and sister in law found out it was a boy at their 13 week appointment. The doctor told them it was a boy and he came out a boy. :-)

rosye13 - 1013 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Sorry, I'm gonna go with no. Usually they'll try at your 20 week ultrasound at the doctor's. Or you can go to one of those 3D/4D places as early as 16 weeks, but they're kind've expensive around here.

wisfarmgirl - 1013 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Even at 19 weeks they can only guess with a 90% accuracy rate. I would say 12 weeks is way too early. Sorry... :(

kbrooke1231 - 1013 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I wouldn't count on it, even if they guess they really can't tell yet. It isn't until 16wks that they can really see anything.

klunkette - 1013 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) They might guess, but I wouldn't take it for truth that early!

KeepinTheFaith - 1014 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Aww...I know the wait is hard but it's quite unlikely that the tech will tell you her guess even if she has one that early. I found out at 15 weeks 5 days. Good luck :)

NeverPreggers - 1014 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If it is a boy, it will be a more accurate diagnosis than if they tell you it's a girl.

Allboys!! - 1014 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) More than likely you won't find out at that ultrasound.

courtenay - 1014 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i dont think the genetalia is formed at that point, like it kind of looks the same either way but they could probably make a guess
