i am 36 weeks pregnant and for the last 4 or 5 days i have been needing to go to the toilet about 4 or 5 times a day. i feel quite constipated and not alot comes out (sorry again!!), its just a bit unusall, i havent changed my diet or anything, just wondered if this could indicate the start of something else like labour??? i have heard that some people go the other way from constipation before labour starts......any ideas ladies???

Talitha - 1011 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Is your baby really low if it has dropped this can cause constipation...keep an eye out for loose bowels because it could mean signs of labor! good luck and congrats!

Bangel - 1012 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was all screwed up 3rd trimester...from constipation to diarrhea. and it obviously didn't mean labor since I had it for 2 months and went to due date.

umich0730 - 1012 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) In my opinion the constipation is most likely due to the baby getting bigger and your bowels are all cramped up. That is what happened to me with my first pregnancy and it is happening again. They say that when you are ready to or are close to labor you are actually able to have a bowel movement and you are not constipated (possible diarrhea). Those are just my thoughts, hang in there.
