so i was diagnosed last week with `PUPPPS`... its a rare rash that develops after 35 weeks of pregnancy. Has anyone else had this? and if so what in the world did you do to stop the itching?! ive tried oatmeal baths, benadryl, perscription steroids, ice packs.... ITS STILL ITCHY!!! anyone have any ideas?

abbyquiet - 1005 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) they gave me several anti-hystamine pills (which didn't really help with the itching, but i was having trouble sleeping... lol and it helped with that), oatmeal baths may have helped, if i was patient enough to sit there, avoid hot showers at all costs, because they would make me scratch until i felt like i needed to throw up. generally it'll go away after you deliver. if not sooner. mine was really bad, but went away after 2 weeks or so. <3 i am so sorry and i hope it gets better real soon.

jamiespaulding - 1010 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I seen this happen on the show deliver me and I remember the doctor say there was nothing you can do and its best not to scratch. I hope you feel better, I'm sure it sucks but it will be worth it!

boston - 1011 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Robink, I have it too, since week 37, im due the 15th. The only thing that actually brings me relief (well 2 things) is taking a hot shower which some say not too, but boy it helps me, and my OB prescribed me something called vistral which is like benadryl but stronger and it helps, the only downside is it does make me sleepy. All the creams, ointments-they don't work. I just try not to scratch it...but its hard. Good luck

emma32uk - 1011 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i think i have the same problem, i went to the doctors the other day with a reaaly itching tummy, my doc didnt say what it was but did say it was quite common, and gave me anti allergy tablets to calm the itching.

tommiesmommy - 1011 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) lol I didn't know it was rare! I thought it was fairly common. My advice is try not to scratch, it will just make it worse. I believe there is a pupps and puppps page on this site, maybe you could look there.

mckrush - 1011 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) scratch it until it stops?
