how long did you wait to have sex after an episiotomy or tearing??

phoenixsmommy - 1005 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i would wait till after your PP checkup to get the okay from your OB. i only had 5 stitches and i was still kinda sore inside when i went in for my PP checkup at 4 weeks. i got the okay but i waited till i was 6 weeks PP.

sarahann - 1006 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I tore and had an episiotomy as well (not nice!) I waited until after my 6 week check up. I was so scared, it was uncomfortable and was for a long time after, but it didn't hurt quite as bad as I thought it would. The trick is to use lots of lube, and go slowly. Good luck.

Gigantor - 1006 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I tore from the inside, too. We waited 6 weeks and I felt like I was losing my "virginity" all over again (or I thought the doctor stitched me tighter than before). I think by the third time it was okay-:)

sweet1 - 1006 days ago ok i was just wondering, i had sex 2 and a half weeks after and it didnt hurt at all. i dont think i could have waited 6 weeks lol

athenaB1984 - 1006 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I tore from the inside. Had 3 stiches. I had sex for the first time 2 weeks later after birth. LOL. It hurt, but I was making up for lost time since I didn't want to, or have any sex in 7 months.

vickiessecret - 1006 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had an episiotomy and when I went back for my 6 week check up I wasn't healed she told me to wait 6 more. I ended up having an appointment before then, I was about 10 weeks pp and she said I was all healed up. So we had sex around 11 weeks after and I was still really sore but since then it's gotten better. I'm now 8 months pp and every now and then it can still be sore, we're never the same after a baby lol... Take Care

jessicadarling - 1006 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was checked at 6 weeks and mine still wasn't healed. It hurt to go to the bathroom for months. I think we waited about 3 months to have sex. It still hurt too.
