Can I dye my hair??

so i just found out i was pregnant (May 12th) and i have a wedding to go to on the 23rd of May. the only day my salon lady had open was May 19, and i scheduled that day BEFORE i found out i was pregnant. so i was wondering if you ladies think it would be okay to HIGHLIGHT my hair at only 5 wks pregnant?? any thoughts??

mom2twogirls - 1004 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My Aunt is a cosmetologist and she says it is fine as long as there is some ventilation where you are not locked in the room with the fumes. I just dyed my hair last night as a matter of fact, ive done it several times during both PG..lol

LizetteCheree - 1004 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I dyed my hair 3 times while pregnant,first when i was 12 weeks 5 days,second when i was 25 weeks and last time when i was 35 weeks and my dd is fine she is 4 months old.Id say u can dye just make sure the area is well ventilated coz the dye fumes can bugger u up haha:-)

tommiesmommy - 1005 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Highlighting is even 'safer' because the dye doesn't even touch your scalp. So, even if you were worried about the chemicals absorbing into your blood it wouldn't happen with highlighting.

Kashmir - 1005 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) People believe that when you dye your hair it make its way into your blood stream and passes the placenta but this is an old wise tail. Just to make yourself feel even better you can use any organic at home hair dye or any European hair dye, they are said to have less chemicals then the american hair dyes bc they have strict chemical laws with beauty products. Otherwise give it a go!!
