Nuk bottles Added: 1003 days ago. Added by: brendalee Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
has anyone else had an awful time with the Nuk bottles? My LO was just drinking on one and in 20 minutes she drank less than a fourth of an ounce. I finally gave up and got a different bottle and the poor girl just downed 2 ounces in less than 5 minutes.

I use these bottles for my son. I was experiencing the same problem. He was only drink 1 1/2 ounces. I posted a question about it and some ladies told me that i probably tightened the top on too tight or the nipple flow was too low. Both suggestions were right. I stoped tightening the top as tight and I also put another hole in the nipple. now he drinking 3 ounces. He likes these nipples because its like his pacifer.

I love the Nuk brand. We had to switch to a med. flow nipple and it works great. It might be getting kind of slow for him now at 7 months so I baught a heavy flow nipple and will soon switch.

I hated the actual Nuk bottles..the ones with the larger opening..kinda the size of Avent. But my son would only do well with the Nuk nipples...the size of your normal Gerber,Evenflo bottles. I think they are made by Gerber maybe??? Anyway, they are the smaller nipples and fit onto all your average bottles. Never had a problem w/ those but hated the Nuk brand!
