So i`m currently 31wk 5days pregnant with a girl and getting induced June 10 due to my lupus and herniated disc and rhemetory arthritis. I`ll b 34wk 4days preggo. Has anyone had a baby this early or know of someone who did??was the baby in nicu? How much did the baby weigh?? So far they said my baby is big for her size. I`m just curious. Thanks ladies

bebe77 - 999 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My friend had her little boy at 34w5d (but after he was born they thought her due date was off and that he was even earlier than that) and he weighed 5lb.13oz. and was in the NICU for six days, mostly b/c he was jaundiced. He did really well, is now two years old, perfectly healthy.

chrissy-511 - 1000 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I just saw a show where they delivered at 34 weeks. The baby was big for it's size too. He just needed a little bit of oxygen at the nicu & he was fine. I hope your little one does great! Good Luck!

nicola5 - 1000 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had my son at 34 weeks and 5 days he was 5lb2oz he was in special care for 3 days and hospital for 10 days no real problems except he needed tube feeding and could not keep his own temp so was in an incubator he also was jaundice so needed light therapy but he is now nearly 3 and is normal healthy boy u baby should be fine good luck

novinsmommy09 - 1000 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had my son at 35 weeks and he was 8lbs 11oz im not saying thats normal but they said in the u/s he was measuring like 7lbs and obviously they were way off lol. my son was on oxygen for a day and on the monitors for a few days he was able to go home after 5 days in the hospital. good luck :)

Cindie - 1000 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My son was born at 35 weeks. TJ was 5lbs5oz. he spent time in the NICU but for differen't reasons other than being a preemie. His lungs were perfectly fine. But he has down syndrome and had 3 holes in his heart... I know how you feel. I have an L5 injury. We don't know the extent because my Dr wouldn't do an MRI

mom2twogirls - 1000 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had my daughter at 28wks. She was in the NICU for 11 weeks. But I have a friend Renee, she had her baby boy at 34 wks and he was only in the hospital close to a week. It depends on how healthy the baby is when its born. Best Wishes!

crystalaj - 1000 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) All three of my kids have been preterm. My little girl was 34 weeks 3 days when she was born. She spent 3 days in the nicu and had very little breathing problems. She had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks total to learn to suck swallow and breath. She weight 5 pounds on the nose. The boys were born one at 30 weeks and the other at 35 weeks the first spent 2 months in the hospital 5 weeks in nicu the other never in the nicu just one week in the hospital he had eating problems also. They say girls do better being born preterm. Your little girl is going to be fine all of my kids came out screaming and are healthy normal children. The oldest being 18 years old and the youngest being 18 months old. I'm in 14th week with my fourth baby good luck to you.
