Feel like I have a cold/flu is this serious?

I feel like I have got a cold/flu my nose is running and i`m sneezing. Should I call my doctor? I don`t want to freak out over a little cold but could this be harmful to my baby girl? I am 15 weeks pregnant...



wwatters18 - 997 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) a common cold is not going to be harmful to your baby. just make sure you are getting plenty of fluids, food, rest and taking your prenatal vitamin. u should be careful taking anything over the counter though. unless you are feeling dehydrated from poor intake or vomiting or wanting to know if you can take a certain medication theres no need to consult the dr. i had a cold when i was 8 weeks pregnant. i toughed it out and everything was fine. good luck

my4kids - 998 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Don't worry i was sick the whole last month of my pregnancy you should call your dr and ask what you can take since your only 15 weeks pregnant i know i was allowed sudefed and other things cause my baby was full term they said.The only way your cold would be harmful to your baby is if you took medicine your dr did not approve and it was in your blood and went to her.

kitkatb - 998 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had two nasty colds during my pregnancy (my second was a few days before I was induced) Just drink lots of fluids-OJ, water, decaf green tea, and get lots of rest, and my doctor also gave me a prescription for a nasal spray-otrivil-was totally safe to use.

gcutie - 998 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi ya many congrats on your good news no a cold won't harm your baby at all as long as you have no temperature as body temp does matter as it affects babies heart rate i'd a bad cold when i was pregnant i took maducka honey with a spoon of sugar and squeese a lemon into it it's brill try it and drink lots of water during the day to flush system good luck and enjoy your pregnancy
