MummyYumYum - 283 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) erm well you are still very young and I dont know at what age you started your periods - they may still not be regulated yet and therefor you may not be ovulating every month. Also as some of the other ladies mentioned there is quiet a difference between just not using birth control and actively trying to get pregnant. I would suggest that you go and speak to your doctor.

megandgrace - 289 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i agree with nicmicsmom, if you have been trying to get pregnant for over a year and you are only 17 that means that you were possible 15 when you started trying?........ that just doesn't sound right to me

nicnmicsmom - 290 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Okay....on your profile, it says that you already ARE pregnant. And you're....17?? SO which is it? Are you pregnant and 17? Or are you trying to get pregnant at 17? trying for a year TO get pregnant at 17??? Jeez...I'm not sure I'm qualified to give you advice there..

M2G - 290 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Have you tried using OPK's to monitor what your body is doing and when you ovulate? I thought I ovulated on day 14, both my pregnancies were surprises as I conceived on day 22 and day 23. This time around I used OPK's and was shocked to see what my body was doing...pretty cool.

I also got preggo on clomid with the timed intercourse but we did not listen to the doctor eiether and did it before they told us to and now here I am 15 weeks preggo and due nov 20th. I am just curious why did he get checked and not you??? listen I am here for you if you need anything! i know how you feel! good luck and I sprinkle you with lots and lots of baby dust!!!

wisfarmgirl - 290 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I highly recommend the book Taking Charge of your Fertility. After reading it I started charting my temperature every morning only to discover I don't ovulate until cycle day 16-17. My doctor prescribed me rounds of Clomid, but the pressure to have sex on day 15 or 16 was too intense and we'd end up in a fight and then not do it! I begged for one more round and didn't tell my hubby and it worked! I now have a 19 month old son and I'm 35 and my baby girl is due in 8 days. I should also tell you that after my son was born, I breastfed so no menstral cycles for the first 6 months, then I had 5 regular cycles. And I got pregnant without any fertility drugs and I was still breastfeeding. But I think one key thing is to know when you actually ovulate and to have sex the day before and the day of preferably. Good luck! :)

rosye13 - 290 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) When you say you've been "trying", do you mean just not using birth control? Or are you trying every other day, using ovulation detectors, etc.? I would say that if you've already tried everything and it's been that long, I would at least get checked by a doctor. There is definitely a possibility that something is wrong. And if so, they might be able to get you on whatever you may need to help you get pregnant. It can't hurt to check.

happyforest - 291 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had unprotected sex regularly for a year before i got preg, i wasnt trying, but i wasnt preventing it at all! i thought about that too... but now i have a 6 month old

emma32uk - 291 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its one of those things, the more you try and stress about it the longer it takes. it took 18 months with my 2nd, we both had tests and there was nothing wrong with either of us. i was out every month buying pregnancy tests and stressing so much it was always making my period late, which got my hopes up which of course came crashing down again after a few days when i came on.......so in the end i gave up, thinking i couldnt get pregnant, and having sex to make a bay turned into lovemaking again and wasnt baby focased and mechanical......and guess what one day whilst at work another girl asked me for a tampon and i suddenly realised i hadnt come on and in fact was 4 days late.......i was pregnant!!!!! so de stressing and not hinking about it really helped, its really hard but it worked for me. good luck and i hope all goes well with you xxx

becca312 - 291 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had been having unprotected sex for 3 years and wondered how come i hadn't got pregnant...well i finally went to the doctors and found out that one of my overies wasn't working and the other one was only working part of the time...but like misz-cashis-april09 said there might not be anything wrong it just takes some people longer to get pregnant...

misz-cashis-april09 - 291 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it COULD be you.. but then again it might not be anything wrong at all. sometimes it takes a long time to get pregnant. maybe u should try and get checked out urself.
