Okay so my daughter just turned 2 months old yesterday(May 26th)...she has her 2 month well-baby check-up & SHOTS on June 11th....well i`ve been contemplating on the whole SHOTS situaton because of all the adverse side effects i`ve read about(autism, neurological problems, SIDS, etc.)....SO i was wondering if you could all comment and give me your opinion on them i mean i feel that she`ll be fine i just really don`t want to have to worry about side effects:) If anyone has had a child who you think had adverse side effects from vaccinations PLEASE comment too this is VERY CONTROVERSIAL ughh???

Lailasmommy - 992 days ago Thank u once again ladies I love it that everyone has their own opinions

happyforest - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) m2g is wrong, you child can go to school without shots or with a alternate schedule. it is illegal to force someone to vaccinate. you just have to sign a form. i know you already made your decision, but this is for anyone else who is reading this. also i am not saying to NOT vaccinate...

MelissaLMoore - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If you knew that a wasp nest was on the ceiling above your babies crib, would you remove it or wait and see what happens? What if the allergic reaction to the sting would kill your child? Same with vaccinations. There are deadly germs everywhere around your child. Why not protect them. The risk of side effects are there, but better to have a child with autism, etc. than to have no child at all. Just my opinion.

M2G - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) There are no side effects with the 2 month shots. The only shots that have been said to cause side effects is the 12 mos and 15 mos shots, but new studies have been found that in fact no actual side effects have been found. Not vaccinating your child actually puts them at risk for more health concerns then vaccinating them. I think you should speak to your DR about your concerns. I know where I live the vaccines are not optional.

CarrieE - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Glad to hear you will be vaccinating. Another thing to consider and a good reason to vaccinate is that without vaccination, children cannot attend daycare of any kind of schooling.

Lailasmommy - 992 days ago Thank you ladies are all sooo helpful....so the hubby and I have sat down and talked about it and we have decided to vaccinate laila on time:) I mean I know sooo many ppl who have had their children vaccinated on time with no problems what so ever and I'm sure our laila will be fine....thank u once again:) Oh and for the smart ass yeah I posted it the other day I just wanted more viewPoints and opinions

jaydsmom - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have vaccinated my daughter and son. Neither had any reactions. I have seen the devestating effects of not vaccinating. I don't buy into the whole "the drug companis do it for money" arguement. Children were dying because of these diseases, so the vaccines were made. I don't want to go back to the days of worrying about my child dying of polio etc (I say polio because my MIL's whole little town's children got it and only a handful survived - she did and she has several deformities). My brother's wife didn't vaccinate and her daughter is autistic. If you are so concerned of side effects, why not do like happyforest and use an alternate schedule?

yb0929 - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) All 3 of my girls have had all of their shots and they are perfectly fine. It wasnt even a concern to me about not vaccinating my kids to me the thought of not protecting them against the diseases made me feel horrible so i chose to vaccinate them.- But at the end it is wht you think is best for your daughter.

krystiannoah - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i also worry about the vaccines, but my hubby and i agreed that we would rather have him have a mild case of autism then a deadly disease that may kill him.and plus, i think the chances of the vaccines causing autism i personally think are slim to none...it just depends on what YOU think is right for your child.

RobinG - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) All 3 of my boys had their shots, my youngest has ASD (mild autism) I do not believe vacs cause autism at all. As far as neuro problem you may want to research the "dirty dozen" and the link to neuro problems with foods that are high in pesticides. I am not saying there arent risks with vacs cause there are and sadly some have sadly suffered but I wouldnt even consider not vaccinating. Perhaps one day they will also find there is a also a link between non organic foods eaten during pregnancy and after and autism ~ not saying that vacs dont cause these concerns you listed becuase there are def some that have lead to problems but they are not the only contributer to them and some moms who've not vaccinated still had children with autism. nikki80 - 993 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) all 4 of my boys have had all their shots and i have had no issues whatsoever

tommiesmommy - 993 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I could have sworn I saw this same question the other day.

happyforest - 993 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i worry about vaccince too, and i also worry about the diseases, so i came to a compromise. i skipped ALL shots at 2 months (way too young for all the chemicals and poisons). at 4 months we started shots BUT only get 2 shots max per doctor visit. then we would go back and get the rest in another week or two. same at his 6 month check up. so we ARE getting his vaccinations, just slowly and spread out so that his body isnt overwhelmed and maybe shut down bc it cant handle all of the things that are in the vaccines. maybe you could do something similar that way you arent risking as many side effects but you are still making sure she is protected.
