Is or has anyone done anything to protect your mattresses just in case your water breaks in bed? I have a cover over the mattress but I don`t know if I should invest in one of those plastic covers. Or if there`s a cover that anyone can suggest? I know it`s a dumb worry but I really love my mattress and we just got it last year. I didn`t even think about this till I took the birthing class.

JLynn203 - 991 days ago Wow! I didn't even think of the car. Thank you for the advice! I bought the mattress cover when I bought the mattress but I have washed it a few times and I have read that some of them lose the waterproof-ness... So I think I am going to invest in a new one. Thank you so much Ladies.

JuliMomOf4 - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I'm buying a cover as well, our mattress isn't even a month old and at 4000 for the damn thing.... I'm covering it with a waterproof cover! My waters broke in bed with my first so it "could" happen again lol... I use a picnic rug for the car though, it's waterproof on the back but nice n soft to sit on. Car's also brand new so I don't want to ruin the driver's seat lol.

Sorry I don't know exactly what it's called but it white padding on top and blue plastic underneath. I put them in my clove box and sure enough, on my way home from Target may water broke.

jaydsmom - 992 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have a great mattress cover that I got at the mattress store. It is soft on the side that's up, but has a waterproof side too. I can't remember the name brand. My water never broke on the bed, but just a couple days ago I was cuddling with my son and hubby on the bed and he puked. I mean a massive puke. I was soooooooo happy for the cover. I paid $2000 for that damn mattress and would have been devestated if it had been wrecked with smelly puke! (Just another thing to think of). Get the cover! I can't even tell mine is on.
