How much would you say your husband/bf helps you around the house?

Lilipuff - 981 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am lucky that my husband helps out around the house. I mean I do 90% of all the cooking and cleaning but he does 90% of the laundry and does pick up any slack. There are 6 people in this house so there is alot of slack believe me. In addition to working a very physical 40 hour a week job. As I said I'm lucky.

nutnut - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) haha he helps me by "cleaning his plate" at dinner into his stomach! actually im kidding. he is an over the road trucker and isnt home alot. i have to do pretty much everything but when he is home i put him to work! =P

juels101 - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) 95/5 :(

LilyPants - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I usually do the chores - like laundry, dishes, and vacuuming, and stuff. He has a "Honey-Do" list of stuff that I can't/don't want to do, and he slowly get's that list taken care of. Usually he does things like "Mow the lawn", "Level the Oven", "Clean the toilet" (if he goes out with his friends, comes home drunk, and misses.) Sometimes I'll ask him to do dishes, or put them away; Sometimes he does them, sometimes he forgets. Then again, he also works out of the home, and I don't. So, I try to get as much done as I can. He takes care of the rest on his days off.

wisfarmgirl - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have a fulltime job at a courthouse and my husband runs our dairy farm. I haven't been much help on the farm since I got pregnant and we have a toddler. So all the housework, shopping, and cooking is up to me and he does all the farm chores. So I guess we both end up contributing equal amounts of work, but each job isn't designated 50/50 which sucks sometimes, but its the only way it works right now.

last.one.for.me - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My boyfriend is an absolute saint and god send. He helps out with housework, cooking, the kids. In fact, towards the end of my pregnancy (which was rough) he did ALL the cleaning, washing, ironing, cooking, looking after our 6 year old such as school run AND worked full time.. Now I'm a lady of leisure and on maternity leave until October, I do 90% of the housework and cook from scratch and take care of the kids - it's the least I can do after he helped so much while I was pregnant, he still does a lot with the kids when he gets home though. Before I was pregnant and we both worked full time, our 6 year old and housework/cooking was a 50/50 split, in fact, I'd say he did more than me majority of the time :] I'll say it again - the man is a SAINT and I love him lots lol

RainbowRach - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would say its about a 80 / 20 split. Me being the 80% :(

klunkette - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My husband will do anything but clean the bathroom. He doesn't do that much around the house normally, but it is his job to do anything outside and because our home is a 2 family and a "fixer upper" he is usually busy with that. I think that I am lucky to have him ;o)

mamalvs4 - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my husband helps alot, i would say its pretty 50/50, although latley he may be doing more than me. Im very lucky in this department so i really cant complain too much

mathew102508 - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) NONE..he doesnt even put his dirty dish in the damn dishwasher. I wish he would help a little. Butsaying that to him goes in one ear and out the other :(

mckrush - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) idk how i got so lucky but mine pretty much does everything

jas1987 - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My fianc'e is fantastic at doing house work, He likes to be clean and have things put away. I on the other hand kind of leave stuff everywhere, and he's great about it, and will pick up after me. He does dishes, vacums, mops dusts, takes out the rubbish, and cooks, really all i do is take care of our baby, he also helps out with the baby... I work from home and he works full-time in the Airforce, i'd say i have it pretty well.

RobinG - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my hubby didnt help at all for a few years and I got tired of being a married single mom and doing everything. I had enough and told him I was going to leave him and when he realized the reality of me leaving he changed his ways. This was 6 years ago. He has been a 50/50 partner ever since. We've been married almost 16 years and things are much better now and we are both much happier. :)

shelly-b - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i am glad to see i'm not the only one that hasta do all the house work though!

shelly-b - 987 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) lol, i wish i had some help. my bf does the dishes maybe once a week...i have to ask him like 10 times just to clean the litter box. i wish i could just do it b/c it would be easier than hafting to nag him about it, u would think he would help more since i'm 32wks prego. i couldn't even get him to do house work when he was laid off and i was working full time, now he's back to work so i'm not even gna try to get him to do anything but the litterbox. and he leaves messes EVERYWHERE! doesn't pick up after himself at all, everything he touches gets dropped whereever he's standing...i'm a little bitter can ya tell?? lol

googie32 - 988 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) mu Dh is good about helping but he's really picky about having things in order and it being clean so it can also be annoying at the same time..we balance each other out though..because he does the jobs I hate and I do the one's he hates.

sheenat3 - 988 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My fiance also has OCD so all I have to really do is cook and I barely do that because he works nights. I would consider myself to be lucky!

happyforest - 988 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) haha this question just makes me laugh...i dont know what help around the house is anymore

brendalee - 988 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Eh...more than I thought he would. His parents are very much the "The only purpose for a wife is to be a slave" type of people. At chrismas his parents came to stay with us, and his mom and I went grocery shopping and when we came home my DH got up to help us put away groceries and his dad is like "sit down, that's their job" I was like "EXCUSE ME??" hah yeah anyway...he'll ask me to clean alot, and he'll sit back and not do much...but sometimes I'll be like "no, this is your mess, you clean it."

megeanua - 988 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My fiance is amazing. When we met it impressed me how OCD he was about being neat and clean. Not to mention he is a great cook. We have always been fairly equal on everything. I hate doing dishes, so he always does those. He hates dusting, so I take care of that. Since I have been pregnant he has pretty much taken over all of it though.

novinsmommy09 - 988 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) sometimes he does the dishes but usually not and he leaves his clothes all over the floor

TinaEL - 988 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) NOT AT ALL!! He plays with are son but does absolutly no housework, he hasn't in the four years that we have lived together.

mylittleman - 988 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Well I am super lucky with my husband! He is going into a PHD program and had a year off in between getting his bachelors and starting..basically he's only taking classes 2 days a week this up coming fall anyway so he's stay at home dad. I work 32 hrs/week. He does absolutely EVERYTHING! He cooks (amazingly well too), vacuums, cleans the bathrooms, takes out trash, does laundry, mops the floor, goes grocery shopping, etc. I mean I do alot too don't get me wrong but w/ him being the one at home he ends up being the one that does the main amt. of the housework. I love him to death for it because really, what guy wants to be home w/ the kid all day doing housechores??!
