Pregnancy test positive 8 days before period due.

My husband and I started trying for baby#2 in May. Well I took a pregnancy test 8 days before my period was due and it came out positive.I`ve taken 5 others since then and they were all positive as well. I am now two days late on my period and have some pregnancy symptoms. Does anyone have any idea why the test showed positive so early? I must of conceived the week before and it showed the next.

CItaly21 - 981 days ago Lilipuff congrats to you too. My OB called today and its official I am 5wks. pregnant. I'm so excited. I've had some symptoms early on but they seem to have calmed done some. I just hope this first tri mester goes by quickly. :)

Lilipuff - 981 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I also knew exactly ONE WEEK after conceiving. I had symptoms right from the get go. I took a total of 6 pregnancy tests before seeing my OB just to be sure. He got a good laugh out of that one. Here I am 18 1/2 weeks later. Congratulations!

CItaly21 - 982 days ago My dr. doesn't do sonograms until your 20wks. prego atleast unless medically necessary, so I guess we are just going off the assumption in May we conceived. It is when we officially started trying so I'm thinking its right. Maybe my hormones are pretty strong like you said. I'm still waiting for the blood test results, they told me they should be in at 9am or so.

RobinG - 982 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) mine was positive 10 days prior, it happens :) although not as commmon. I ov very early in my cycle and implant fast :) u/s confirms it too

juels101 - 982 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The pregnancy hormone can be heavier if you are carrying multiples, but depending on the test you can almost see how early on you are. If you take a test witht he two lines, the second line that apears meaning you are pregnant will be lighter the earlier you are pregnant.

CItaly21 - 982 days ago Thank You all for the replies, I just joined this site yesterday and am so happy I did. I went for my blood work today so today around 4pm I can call my OB and see what the results are. :)

M2G - 983 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Some women can get a positive result 14 days before their periods are due. The tests now adays are super strong in picking up your hormone levels. You may have also ovulated earlier as well. Although day 14 is the norm, alot of women do not actually ovulate then. I ovulate around day 23 and then get a period 5 days later.....Congrats on the pregnancy!!

JENNIFERANN333 - 983 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Well every test is different, I had a blood test come up negative on a monday and a urine come up posotive by friday... You may just have produced enough hormones for it to show up.. which is awsome.. My test showed up 8 days past ovulation as well and it was a clear blue easy digital.. Congrads girl!!!!!!!!!!! JEN

CItaly21 - 983 days ago I was taking the ovulation tests and ovulated on the 18th and 19th and my period was due to come on June. 5th. I am going to get blood work tomorrow to confirm I am pregnant. Then after that I guess my doctor will call me with the results and set up an appt. I'm hoping they do, do a sono sooner then later. Thanks for your reply.

Hopeful-opti - 983 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Did you chart when you Ovulated? For a while I was Ovulating really close to my period (starting a day or two after) if this happened to you, you could have been pregnant for a couple of weeks when you tested. If you could, maybe you could get a dating sono to see how old your peanut is... good luck!
