Kottonkurlz maybe she was on birth control. My SIL got pregnant while taking the pill religiously. Two of my friends got pregnant while on the NuvaRing, one of them twice while on it. My sister got pregnant while on the pill, however miscarried around 12 weeks. You shouldn't be so harsh on someone when you don't know their situation, especially when that person is probably scared out of their mind and has no idea what to do.

kottonkurlz....for me I didn't know in my home we did not talk about sex or periods or boys when I started dating this guy I thought I could run to teh bathroom and pee it all out...he was 4 yrs older than me and basicly convinced me that sex was cool and that he loved me. I was stupid and gulible but after I had my son I did get on BC...I didn't know about planed parenthood and how easy it is to get free BC that may be hard to believe but it's true.

Please don't throw stones at me. For you young ladies out there why didn't you use birth control? Surely you knew that sex cold lead to a baby?

I was 15 when I got preg. with my first I turned 16 a mon. before I had him...I married the daddy and then divorced 6 months later he left for the Navy best thing that ever happened to my son. I worked full time and finished my education we had our own place and I bought a car. It wasn't hard the government offers a lot of help. I went to nursing school and remaried at 19 to a great guy who loved my son dearly...we later divorced but he remains a father to my son. I watched my son graduate this year it was wonderful...he is a blessing I am now 34 if I think about my life I wouldn't change a thing my son and i are very close Faith and Prayer are what has brought us through my son is a youth pastor every one said that we would never make it that he would end up on drugs and I would end up preg. again before 19 but God had other plans and all I new was that I wanted this baby and would be the best mom I could be. Feel free to write me any time...my life is an open book!

You should prepare yourself to be a single mother. You should prepare yourself to have to take care of this child for the next 18 years. You should prepare to get a full time job or hope you have family help to watch your child while you continue with your education. I don't mean to sound harsh but a child is not a toy. A child will TAKE more love than it will ever give. And you may be close the child's father now...but I can almost guarantee he won't be around in 5 years. What were you thinking? You're a child yourself. Is using birth control that difficult? I don't understand why you would take that chance....I really don't. I wish you much luck because you're going to need it. Being a mother is difficult ....
Not the answer I'm sure you were looking for. But it IS the truth.

Well Im 19 and pregnant with my second.
But im married and own a house. So I cant exactly say I know what your going through. Being pregnant was hard last time I hated it. But I did fine. But remember boys that age dont always stick around. A LOT of girls I know got pregnant that young, and NONE of them are still with the babies father. I know a girl who is 15 and pregnant, and single right now who is due next month. I used to look after that girl. And I have a friend who is 19 and pregnant and not with the dad. It doesnt matter how old you are. Being a mom is hard. There is no right time to get pregnant. Although at 15 you shouldnt be. You need family support. I almost died having my daughter, and I wouldnt have done it without my mom, and wonderful husband.

Think as much as you can of the posatives. There is nothing you can do but prepare and be posative. I know it'll be hard for a very young couple but I've heard of counceling helping a LOT in these situations, to work anything out that's there and to make sure your on the same page. Make sure you have lot's of support outside of your boyfriend.

hello, when i was in high school my best friend got pregnant. it was hard for her of course, but YOU CAN DO IT!! she decided to keep the baby, there was no other option for her she said. stay in school and dont let anyone else get you down. you are going to have to grow up a lot faster than your schoolmates, and they dont understand. you will realize who your real friends are... have you signed up for WIC and medicaid? she got all of her formula and medical bills paid for. im glad the father is still with you, but dont rely on him for EVERYTHING bc sometimes men dont stick around after they realize all the responsibilities they will have, especially so young. find some people who really support you guys, like your family or his family, and your best friends. don't be afraid to ask for help. there are so many people out there who can and will help. check for resources in your community, such as a crisis pregnancy center or something. they will give free counseling and supplies most of the time. and also after the baby is born you can get on free or reduced birth control! good luck, i have confindence you can be GREAT mother. lots of people are quick to judge bc of age, but age doesnt matter as long as you are a good mother :)

The only thing I can say is expect things to change completely around you. As PrinncessR said, look up Kaylynn on this site(she's on my page also). She is doing wonderful and is your age....I'd try to chat with her.
