msmeli81 - 974 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it shouldnt matter what brand you take..ive taken generic brands before...just as long as they have Folic Acid...

Carmensmomma - 974 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If u go to ur local health dept. they will set u up with some vitamins and all kinds of prego information.. i was 15 when i got prego with my first and the health dept helped me out alot as far as information went.. good luck telling ur parents, and best of luck with ur pregnancy!

Also, the ones from the doctor gave me stomach aches no matter what time of day I took them. My doctor suggested I take Flintstones instead. You would take 2 of those a day.

When I was pregnant with my second, I didn't drink enough and the pill melted in my throat. I didn't know it until I started having problems with heart burn and pain. It will never heal. I would also suggest telling your parents soon. If you are nervous have someone else with you when you tell them. have a plan as to how you might handle things after the baby comes, ie... school, work, day care, that kind of thing. I was 17 when I got pregnant the first time and I worked and managed to take care of things and pay for everything on my own. If my mom watched my son, I paid her.

nicnmicsmom - 976 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The "One a day" prenatal vitamins have two different vitamins in them. One a regular prenatal and the other a DHEA supplement (fish oil, etc to help baby's brain growth). neither made me sick to my stomach. You may still need to get some extra calcium, folic acid and maybe iron though. I chew TUMS for the calcium and use activia for the calcium(they're chocolate). Take them at NIGHT before your go to bed and they won't hurt your stomach so much. Watch your diet. Try not to eat empty calories. Good luck

krystiannoah - 976 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I went to planned parenthood and they gave me free ones....they taste like crap but apparently its good for baby...they made me sick because of the taste, but if i washed it down with alot of juice i was ok.

mother649808 - 977 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Any prenatal vitamin will do. My ob also had me take a folic acid vitamin and a fish oil vitamin. The fish oil is for the brain!

summer09momma - 977 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Any Prenatal Vitamin you buy over the counter should be sufficient, be sure to look for one with lots of Folic Acid though. Good Luck!
