twin pregnancy possible???

so we found out that i am finally pregnant!!! and we were talking about this a couple days ago... how possible is it for me to have twins? well, heres the deal... my fiances grandmother is a twin... and my mom is a twin, her sister had twins, and my aunt on my dads side also had twins.... so im thinking its very possible that i might have twins... does anyone agree??

RobinG - 973 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Its possible but we had the same odds in my family and the only one to have them had them via IVF, not spontaneous. My other sis and I didnt have them. Ya never know til an u/s :)

xolblondieox - 973 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Twin traits (fraternals only) follow along the mother's side. So you can foget about any twins in your fiance's family, but with your mom being a twin and having twin cousins...those are all good precursors. If you yourself were a twin it would be very highly likely. It's really Russian Roulette though. I had twins :o) They are a blessing and are wonderful, but multiple pregnancies are not easy and carry a million risks that can be very devastating. Right now I would concentrate on one healthy baby, but know your odds are increased for more than one.

courtenay - 973 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) anything is possible and it sounds a bit more likely here but i wouldnt get your hopes up or anything until you have an ultrasound. congrats on your pregnancy btw :)
