I am looking to do this with my waterbirth. I was jsut curious does anybody know if there is a cd I can use so I do not have to pay $85.00 a session? Thanks

GoonieMomma - 973 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you can get the hypnobirthing book at barnes and noble. it comes with a cd. there are additional cd's you can get. I went through my doula and the entire "package" (including 5 in-home training sessions, 2 hrs each) was $300. My advice about hypnobirthing: if you're going to do it, give it your all. Lots of training, and have daddy/delivery room partner listen, too. We fell asleep to the book cd for several weeks before we got our doula's cd. There's a note on the official "extra" cd you would get: do not copy this cd. it will ruin your karma (something along those lines). So I doubt anyone will violate that! To tell the truth, I found the book cd MUCH more useful than the other (Rainbow relaxation). I just wasn't into the style of the Rainbow Relaxation. I also wrote some "scripts" of things for Shawn to say during the different parts of my labor. These were from the cd or things I came up with on my own. Like, I don't want him telling me I'm beautiful during transition, when I feel like an animal, you know? I'd be happy to send you a word document of those, if you'd like. private message me your email and i can jet them off as soon as i find them (they're on my home computer). It's definitely an experience that you reap what you sow. Practice practice PRACTICE!
