I used to get this for a few weeks after my son was born. It also went down my back. It was actually just minor nerve pain from my spinal and it was gone after a few weeks.

How old is kiddo? I had these randomly at about 2-3 months postpartum. Felt like hot electricity coursing through my breast. Mine didn't seem to exactly associate with "right after feedings" but maybe I just never made the association. It was uncomfortable to say the least, and went COMPLETELY away in about 2 weeks, but after 1 week they were definitely less frequent. Is there a lactation unit at the hospital you gave birth at? I wouldn't suggest talking to docs about BF-ing as most of them aren't specially trained in it. Let me know if you need some #'s... I can give you the lactation unit at my hospital. They're happy to help anyone! Good luck, and keep at it. This gets SOOOO easy!
