Pregnancy after preeclampsia Added: 970 days ago. Added by: starby Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
We want to start trying for baby #2 pretty soon but I am sooooo nervous as my last pregnancy ended with severe preeclampsia and I had my daughter 6 weeks early. Has anyone experienced pregnancy after preeclampsia?! I`m also worried that I`m going to be pulled out of work much earlier due to the high risk and I know that will not go over well at work and I definately couldnt afford to lose my job :( Any input would be much appreciated!

I had preeclampsia with my first pregnancy and didn't have it with my second one! Although my pregnancy's were five years apart, I don't know if that makes a difference!

forgot to add at this point last pregnancy, she was already having preeclampsia symptoms but she didn't realize it at the time. This time around, she has none of that. (her doctor missed it last time because she had none of the swelling, protein in her urine or high blood pressure at her appointments. She was having flu like symptoms and wasn't sharing that with her doctor)

My sister had it severly...became the hellp syndrome with multiple organ failure so they did a c-section at 32 weeks. She's currently 25 weeks pregnant, so don't know the end result yet, but she is doing very well and her doctors aren't overly concerned about a repeat.
