so last wed i had a doctors app i was about 5 cm dialted. well these past few days have been miserable to walk, i get irragular contractions at night but go away. i feel so much pressure in my vagina and my butt (sry tmi) and it just plain out hurts to walk.. It feels like my legs are falling off? the people who have responded said to go to L&D but i dont want to go just to be sent home =[... My mother says i should call just to get an opinion and im not sure... Is it normal to hurt like this that i really dont even want to stand or walk because the pain and pressure are very painful??

jennymomof3 - 968 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would call because they are going to tell you to come in....pain and pressure can be a sign that you've dialated more.

nutnut - 968 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you should go to the hospital where youre planning to deliver. even if you stall, they will give you medication to help move you along.

mother649808 - 969 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree with the ladies! I would go to l&d. Where I live they won't send you home at 5cen. They will give you time to continue to dilate but if you don't they will help get things moving!

tylersmommy54 - 969 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had the same problem in the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy. my l&d dept told me to stay off my feet, drink alot of water and watch for heavy bleeding and signs that my water had broke. i hated haveing to walk alot because i hurt so bad down there also i had the irregular contractions but i also had horrible chest pain from him pushing up so hard. you should be ok but if youor really concerned you can always go in. besides that just take it easy and keep watch for any signs of labor hun :)

sazauk(ttc2) - 969 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree with krystiannoah go to L&D they shouldn't turn you away at 5 cm dilated. Perhaps they will help you to dilate further if you haven't already.

laurenGallegos - 969 days ago i thought that they were supposed to keep me as well if i was 5 cm but i guess since im not contracting i have no clue im a new mommy so i dunno whats normal?? im so lost haha

krystiannoah - 969 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If you're 5cm, then i think you should be in the hospital...but thats just me...for all you know, you could be 8cm now and not know it....i really think you should go to L&D....where i live, they wont send you home if you're dialated to 4cm or more...when i took birthing classes, they said "if she's not 4, show her the door". but yeah i really think you should go.
