you cant pierce her ears that early it has to be 2months with their first dpt shot. trust me. i managed a store in the mall for years and years. she has to have that shot or its dangerous to your baby, and no one in the mall will touch a baby under 2 months old even if its by a day. if they do they can be sued, loose their job, etc. no place in the mall is legally piercing a baby at 5 weeks old. im sorry but its the truth. 2 months with dpt shot and proof. if you lie you are risking the health of your child. metal is going through their ear dpt has tetnus in it to protect them. i think maybe your time frame is off.

I was told to get my daughters ears pierced no early than 6-8 weeks but I was so anxious and I went to the mall and put her got back a month and got her ears pierced at about 5 weeks (i cant really remember the exact time frame but it was before 6 weeks).

i worked at a well known piercing place for many many years. from my point of view, the earlier the better in some ways, or wait until they are old enough to say i want my ears pierced. typically the dr. office will do it, but honestly i have had to correct alot of mistakes by doctors, while they may know about sterilization and health, this does not necessarily make them any good at making the piercing even, or less painful.
2 months is typical, but if your baby cannot hold her head up by herself, or her ears are small, i would wait a few months longer. keep in mind, our ears continue to grow all our lives, so while placing may look good at 2months old, chances are they will end up lower as they age.
you also need to keep in mind, while piercing them later, there is a chance they will play with the earings, and pull them out hurting themselves and possibly putting them in their mouths.
my professional oppinion is before 3-5 months- after their first set of shots. after 6 months it gets harder for everyone.
if you havent done it by the time the child is 6 months old, then wait until they can say mommy i want my ears pierced. when they are older, the girls in the mall should be able to pierce both ears simutaniously, so its done in one shot! makes things so much easier in the long run trust me! my other suggestion is never ever use the cheap earings, go with the 14k gold, they may be more expensive, but in my oppinion they are easier on the ears when they heal in general (unless there is a known allergy to specific metals). also, they are a good keepsake, and the piercing studs, while sharp, can easily be filed down in the back with an emory board. they typically come with locking backs that are larger than typical earing back and it keeps it more secure. i have had customers buy the peircing stud for their babies bc its the only earing that stay in. i waited too long to do my daughter's ears. this was partially bc i wasnt working in the field at the time and wanted to wait until i could bring her to my former place of employment. well, i went back to the company at a new location and ended up doing them when whe was 18 monts. huge mistake. they came out crooked and she wont wear them. shes 7 now and wont have them done. she still remembers them hurting her. so she goes without earings. with all the information i had, you think i wouldve known better LOL. thats why i say do it earlier or wait until they can decide for themsleves. professionally-do it earlier, personally - wait and make it an outting when they are old enough to say i want this done.

My daughter had her shots at 2 months and I got her ears pierced at Claire's in the mall at 3 months. I was lucky I had an older lady pierce them and she did awesome!!!! They were very easy to take care of and she didn't even know they were in her ears! She's almost 2 now and they still look great and I've never had a problem with them. I waited almost a year to switch the studs out with regular earrings. If I have another girl, I will do the same thing !!!!!

my daughter was just over 3 months, shortly after her first set of shots. you can do it anytime after their first shots although it is recommended to do it sooner rather than later, because then they are used to them and dont pull on them, esspecially when they are healing up. id either do it early or wait until she is old enough to ask.
