My son is 7 months old. He used to love eating different types of baby food (I started him on baby food @ 4 months). But now he will only eat sweet foods. Nothing savory like veggies or other foods. What can I do? He will gag when I give him a bite and make himself throw up.

wwatters18 - 965 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) will he eat real people food? like mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes or cottage cheese or toast or strawberries. these are things my daughter loves. i even mash up mac and cheese, she loves it!

lovelee - 965 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) At 7 months he's old enough to start some finger foods. Maybe self feeding will encourage him to eat more variety...It worked with my now 9 month old, He'll eat anything now.

nutnut - 966 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) mix the veggies in with some of the fruits. my daughter did that too and i was like omg child i cant feed you nothing but bananas! =P i used her cereals as a base and mixed carrots in it she took it that way. she would never eat the spinach flavor no matter how i tried to hide it lol.

Gigantor - 967 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) He probably likes fruits that are sweeter. Mix a little vegetable into his fruit jar and see if he eats it like that. If so, give more and more vegetable to the fruit each time and eventually he'll get back on track.
