I can`t take much more of this... When will it stop hurting to pee?? I had a reconstruction after my 1st child so it hurt for a long time, but I`ve just had my 2nd child 3 days ago & was stitched up like straight away & thought it wouldn`t be so sore by now but it still stings like crazy!! Toilet, shower, bath... It all hurts & for a good long time afterwards too! When will it stop hurting? Any tips 4 helping it not be so sore? Not sure whether peeing in the toilet would be better than peeing in the shower? I tried the jug of water crap, that didn`t work! Help!

mrslucky - 961 days ago Mathew102508... not really helping there! I've just bought some lavendar oil and I've been having lots of lavendar oil baths and that seems to be doing wonders. My mum taught me some breathing techniques to oxygenate my body so that it doesn't hurt - it really works! Breathe in for 8, out for 8 - it's so simple! So it's really getting a lot better already! I wasn't given a peri bottle at the hospital... maybe it's a US thing?

krystiannoah - 962 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ohhh yess the spray that M2G is talking about i think is called Dermi-sol(maybe)...and that was my favorite, it was soooo nice...it cooled it down there and helped alot!! ill try to find a link for it if you're interested...

mathew102508 - 962 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Oh i used to cry. for the first week i couldnt even pee. i would tinkle a little then i would stop it was SO PAINFULY. i dont remember exactly but i know it hurt ALOT down there for the full 6 weeks. I think i was able to pee comfortable around 4 weeks....I had the peri bottle but that stung me sooo MUCH that i couldnt even use it. I actually used baby wipes to clean down there for a while. A nurse told me not to though because there is alchoal in the wipe, but it acutally never bothered me. Maybe becuase i was already in so much pain. :(

nikki80 - 962 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had issues there too.....i found the best way to stop it stinging after i gave birth was to lean right forward , like touch ur hands to the floor to pee and then it doesnt run over the tender area....i remember that pain like it was yesterday but as soon as i started the leaning trick it made it alot easier good luck xx

kristina89 - 962 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i was stiched up 2 it took me about 2 weeks i used the bottle they give you to spray yourself it helped but i had 2 use it everytime i went to the bathroom and they also gave me some medicine that numbed me that i would have to spray on myself

M2G - 962 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Use your peri bottle and squirt water there while you pee to help dilute the pee so it doesn't sting as much...

krystiannoah - 962 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i was stitched up and the stinging and pain didnt go away for a while...i know how bad it hurts....it took almost 4 weeks for the stitches to dissolve and it was pure hell for a month...i had a routine down...i would use the bathroom, then spray down with a little squirt bottle, the put some topical ointment on it...then tucks pads.....i know it hurts but you kinda just have to pull through it.good luck and congrats on the new baby!!
