You could speak to her privately and mention your news, ask her how she's enjoying the spotlight, see if she's feeling ready to share the attention. Some people would like nothing better than another person to draw the attention away from themselves, and others would feel the opposite. You can emphasize that you're eager to go through some of the joys and trials of motherhood together, and see how she responds.
