First road trip with a 7 month old suggestions??? Added: 129 days ago. Added by: readyfornumber2 Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
We are taking a 5 hour (one way) road trip this weekend. Any advice on how to survive this? Noah is really big on having a schedule but I`m not keen on the idea of driving across Iowa at night on a holiday weekend.

Travel at sleep time :) We have traveled many times with babies and it is always easier when it is sleep time for baby so traveling at night is my suggestion :)

I go home every month for a weekend which is 6 hours away. We left 1st thing in the morning. what we do is first thing in the morning we let mathew play a littler (20mins on the floor) then we feed him and change him. He will sleep in the car for 3 hours then we stop we eat he plays (we stop at micky dees) then we feed him and change him again and sometimes can make it other times not. Last time it took us 8 hours tho :S You really just have to go with the flow. Other then making sure they are fed and have a clean diaper you cant really do much else. Oh and mathew also has a REALLY GOOD schedule, but he does fine. Other then he is completly off schedule until we come home. Good luck

if you are driving at night he should do good but make sure that his seat isn't to tight and that his diaper is loose also..I had a friend who put her daughters diaper to tight and when she got to their destination the babys legs were blue now I always check.
